Directly on the slopes in winter,
idyllic alpine hut in summer

At Utia Sole, you can enjoy homemade dishes, regional ingredients, and authentic South Tyrolean alpine hut atmosphere.

In winter, we serve hearty classics for a ski break directly on the slopes, accompanied by refreshing drinks and small snacks.

In summer, hikers and mountain bikers can enjoy light cold dishes, refreshing beverages, and selected warm meals from our alpine kitchen.

From traditional Kaiserschmarrn (only in summer), Strudel and flavorful soups to hearty cold platters or warm South Tyrolean specialties - here you will find everything that makes a perfect hut experience.

How to reach us by foot

From Selva/Wolkenstein

  1. Take the Ciampinoi gondola to the top. Follow trail Nr. 21 and then change to trail Nr. 21A until you cross trail Nr. 528. Take now this trail in the direction of the Sella Pass, then:
    • When crossing trail Nr. 526A take this one to get to Utia Sole (on the way there you pass by another hut).
    • Or don't take trail Nr. 526A but only at the next crossing follow trail Nr. 657B to get to Utia Sole (on the way there you pass by another hut).
  2. Follow the trail on the old train track to get to Plan, cross the street and take the trail Nr. 21 direction Plan de Gralba, see the information from Plan de Gralba below to continue.
  3. Take the bus to the Sella Pass. From there continue on trail Nr. 657 and then on trail 657B for about 8 minutes.

From Plan de Gralba

  1. Leave the parking area on trail Nr. 657 towards Sella Pass. At the crossing after the chair lift Piz Seteur-Sole continue on trail Nr. 657B for about 8 minutes.
  2. Take the cable car Piz Seteu - Sassolungo. When you get off continue on the uphill trail on the left for about 200 metres. From the top you can already see Utia Sole below on the left. Trail Nr. 526A.

From Sella Pass

  1. Walk down trail Nr. 657 and when crossing trail Nr. 657B continue on the latter for about 8 minutes.
  2. Walk along trail Nr. 528 direction Alpe di Siusi, when crossing trail Nr. 526A continue on this until you get to Utia Sole (there is another hut just before ours).
  3. Walk along trail Nr. 528 direction Alpe di Siusi, when crossing trail Nr. 657B continue on this until you get to Utia Sole (there is another hut just before ours).

Our hut is located directly on the Plan de Gralba - Passo Sella mountain bike trail, in close proximity to the SASSOLUNGO BIKE PARK and the Sellaronda mountain bike route clockwise.

On skies
directly on the Sellaronda

In winter, you can reach us easily on skis. Utia Sole is located directly on the SELLARONDA (orange and green) ski circuit in the Dolomiti Superski area, just a few turns below Piz Seteur on the well-known Falck ski slope. During your Sellaronda tour or while exploring over 1,200 perfectly groomed kilometers of pistes, you can effortlessly stop by our hut - for a relaxing break with popular South Tyrolean dishes and authentic alpine hut atmosphere.
